Killing Procrastination With Prompt Decision

Killing Procrastination with Prompt Decision

When we talk about procrastination, everybody has been a victim at one point of his life or the other. Even Successful entrepreneurs all over the world had to fight it before they got to where they are.

Earlier this month of December, i had in mind to turn two of my most read posts into ebooks and hard copy but i have been procrastinating.

I don’t have any special reason not to start. Perhaps, i’m waiting for the perfect time (which never comes)

Like me, you may have had one or two things in your to-do list, you woke up in the morning feeling inspired and excited to execute your plans but you became so busy with work, family, business and every distraction the world had to throw at you and before you realize yourself the day is far spent. Feeling tired and stressed up you procrastinate till tomorrow.

And the circle goes on and on.

There are many people that would have been wealthy, happy and fulfilled BUT they keep postponing till tomorrow which never comes.

Procrastination is one of the most common and deadliest of diseases and its toll on success and happiness is heavy. Killing procrastination is something everybody must do if he must be successful in life, business or career.

To reach prompt decision over any issue, you must learn how to ignore people’s opinion. You see, opinions are the cheapest commodities on earth which everybody is ready to freely give to anyone who will accept them.

Sometimes, over-analyzing a situation before taking action could be fatal for  your business or life. Taking action on the go is one of the qualities of an entrepreneur.

Sir Richard Branson, Founder, Virgin Galactic says, “if someone offers you an amazing opportunity and you’re not sure you can do it, say yes- then learn how to do it later”

It is difficult for doctors to become entrepreneurs because they are trained to over-analyze and scrutinize every situation before taking a decision.

That’s not the case with entrepreneurs, they rebel against popular opinions, break rules and cause disruption. Things just have to be done no matter what.

There was a time i had to make a prompt or rather crazy decision which at that time seemed unthinkable but later i was grateful that i had made that decision.

it’s high time you left that your comfort zone and get things done. There are no two ways about it.

The year is coming to an end .

Have you achieved your set goals for this year?

Have your dreams come true?

Do you wish you had all it takes to become successful?

Worry no more..

Tomorrow is gone forever and you can’t change that.

You can still start now. It is better late than never. You don’t have to be great to start, you have to start to be great. The journey of a thousand miles begin with a step.

This post is not just for you alone but also a challenge to me because I’ve been dating Ms procrastination for so long now that she won’t let me write my ebooks.

Wise people do too much listening and too little talking. Keep your eyes and ears wide open and your mouth closed if you wish to acquire the habit of prompt decision making. Talkative always do little.

Rather than go here and there to ask of people’s opinion, just put your hands and head and start while learning on the go.

What are you waiting for?

Start writing that book. Create that blog. Start that business. Call that client. Acquire that skill.

Kill the great enemy of success-procrastination!
